Chicago Public School Teachers Pension & Retirement Fund committed $7.5 million each to private equity managers Pharos Capital Group, ICV Capital Partners, Palladium Partners and Sync Venture Capital, said Kevin Huber, CFO and acting executive director for the $10.8 billion fund. The hiring resulted from a search for minority-owned and women-owned private equity managers. Each of the managers has a focus on investing in minority-owned and women-owned enterprises, but they have no restrictions on their investments, he said. Funding will come from a reallocation.
