Lisa Jones joined Eaton Vance Management as head of institutional, according to Meg Pier, a spokeswoman for the company. Ms. Jones replaces Walker Martin, who retired. She was president of the institutional division at MFS Investment Management, which she left in July 2004. She was replaced by Carol Jeremiah, who has been with the firm since 1984 and is now president of both MFS Institutional Advisors and MFS Retirement Services, according to David Oliveri, an MFS spokesman.
Kelly Weller joined National City Investment Management as director, institutional sales, and Ayesha Bobbitt joined as vice president of consultant relations, said spokeswoman Kelly Wagner. Both are new positions. Mr. Weller was vice president and sales director of JPMorgan Asset Management; Jacqueline Neere, spokeswoman at JPMorgan, could not provide information on a replacement by press time. Ms. Bobbitt was director and head of the RFP team at UBS Global Asset Management; she left UBS last fall as part of a departmental reorganization and her duties were absorbed by the existing team, said Peter Casey, UBS spokesman. National City has $26.7 billion in assets under management.
Michelle Davidson was hired as director of PCG Asset Management, a division of Pacific Corporate Group. Also hired at the firm were Brandon S. Park as senior associate, and associates Andrea Chen and Boris Eykher. The positions are new, said Owen Blicksilver, spokesman for the private equity consulting and investment management firm, which reorganized in April. Ms. Davidson was vice president and consulting practice manager for PrivateEdge, a private equity and real estate performance measurement consultant at State Street Corp.; she left the company on March 31. Brian M. Willinsky, State Street spokesman, could not ascertain by press time whether she has been replaced. Mr. Park was an associate for Rho Fund Investors, a $1 billion private equity fund of funds managed by Rho Capital Partners. Calls to Gordon Hargraves, partner, were not returned by press time. Ms. Chen was an investment banking analyst for JPMorgan. Mr. Eykher was an associate with international private equity firm E.A.T. LLC. PCG Asset Management is also transferring Michael Russell, managing director from its La Jolla, Calif., headquarters, to its new European office in Geneva, Switzerland.
John C. Wilcox was named senior vice president and head of corporate governance of TIAA-CREF, effective today. He will oversee the corporate governance program, including "monitoring the governance practices at companies in which TIAA-CREF invests, and assuring that TIAA-CREF's own governing practices measure up to the standards the company advocates for its portfolio companies," according to a TIAA-CREF statement. He will report to George Madison, executive vice president and general counsel. Mr. Wilcox succeeds Peter Clapman, who is retiring but will continue to advise the company during the transition. The corporate governance team Mr. Wilcox will lead includes Linda Scott, director-corporate governance, and Hye-Won Choi, director-corporate governance and senior counsel. Mr. Wilcox was vice chairman of Georgeson Shareholder Communications.
