Crestview, a new private equity firm started by two former partners at Goldman Sachs last fall, is raising its first fund, Crestview Capital Partners, which will have a $1.25 billion target. The fund has $600 million in commitments. One investor, the $52 billion Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System, Harrisburg, committed up to $150 million.
