Louisiana Teachers' Retirement System, Baton Rouge, hired Alliance Capital Management and LSV Asset Management to run from $200 million to $400 million each in active international large-cap value equities, said Bonita B. Brown, director of the $12.4 billion plan. Exact portfolio sizes will be determined after contracts are finalized. Funding will come from cash and a general rebalancing, and from terminating an existing manager that Ms. Brown declined to identify because plan officials have not informed the firm. The fund issued an RFP earlier this year.
Separately, plan officials named GlobeFlex Capital, Dimensional Fund Advisors, Acadian Asset Management and AIG Global Investment Group as finalists in a search for an active international small-cap manager, said Ms. Brown. Officials have not determined the portfolio size. The finalists will likely make presentations by early June. The fund issued an RFP earlier this year.
