Douglas R. Barnard was hired as chief administrative officer and chief compliance officer of Dover Management. It is a new position. Mr. Barnard will oversee compliance, finance and administration for the firm, whose investment strategy focuses on corporate responsibility, he said in an interview. Michael Castine, president and CEO, was overseeing compliance and will now devote more time to marketing. Mr. Barnard was controller for the Americas region and a managing director of Deutsche Bank; his duties included investment and private banking and asset management.
Rochelle Antoniewicz was hired as senior economist by the Investment Company Institute, according to John Collins, ICI spokesman. She replaces Brian Reid, who was promoted to chief economist when John Rea retired at the end of 2004. Ms. Antoniewicz was a senior economist in the flow-of-funds section in the division of research and statistics at the Federal Reserve Board. A search to replace her in that role will take place in the coming months, according to a Fed official who asked not to be identified.
Mark Baker joined Shields Associates as a managing director and consultant, and Douglas Steele joined the firm as a director and consultant, said Bruce L. Graham, president. Both positions are new. Mr. Baker was a managing director and Mr. Steele was a director in the Boston office of CRA RogersCasey. Matthew McCormick, the director of marketing at CRA RogersCasey, said his firm will fill both vacancies in the near future.
