

Arthur Barry will join Loomis Sayles on May 2 as vice president and portfolio manager, said Chris Lazzaro, spokesman. Mr. Barry will work with portfolio managers Warren Koontz and James Carroll in managing the firm's large-cap value investment strategies, reporting to Lauriann Kloppenburg, equity CIO. Mr. Barry replaces Jeff Wardlow, who left Loomis in July 2004. Mr. Barry was a senior vice president at State Street Research & Management, where he was co-portfolio manager for the State Street Research Large Cap Value Fund. Mr. Barry left SSRM at the end of January, prior to the firm's acquisition by BlackRock.
Steven J. Cowan, Gene Pohren and Stephen O'Neill were named managing directors of PCG International. Messrs. Cowan and Pohren were directors of private equity in the investment funds department of Overseas Private Investment Corp. Mr. O'Neill was managing director and founder of Battery Kemble, an investment advisory firm that was closed when he joined PCG, Mr. O'Neill said.
