New York City Retirement Systems will issue an RFP in about six months for active EAFE managers. The contracts of seven of the $88 billion system's EAFE managers expire in 2007, but NYCRS officials want to be ready. "We haven't done an EAFE search in five years, so we want to see what products are out there," said Deborah Gallegos, CIO.
The seven EAFE managers are: Capital Guardian, which runs $3.3 billion; Bank of Ireland, $2.7 billion; Mondrian Investment Partners, $2.1 billion; GE Asset Management, $2 billion; Sprucegrove Investment Management, $1.8 billion; T. Rowe Price, $1.4 billion; and Oechsle International Advisors, $845 million. Ms. Gallegos said she could not speculate on whether any of the managers might be replaced.
