Lee Scholey joined Bradford & Marzec as vice president and principal, director of client service and marketing, said Edward Bradford, founder and principal. Mr. Scholey's appointment is part of a major marketing initiative. "We want to get the market presence and exposure ... in the institutional and other markets, open up channels of distribution that we haven't tapped before and build relationships with major fund bases," Mr. Bradford said. The firm manages $4.56 billion in total assets. Mr. Scholey was a 20-year veteran of PIMCO; he most recently was a senior vice president in the institutional direct marketing group. PIMCO spokesman Mark Porterfield did not return phone calls by press time to comment on a replacement.
