CalPERS will interview three finalists for its general consultant contract: incumbent Wilshire Associates, Ennis Knupp and R.V. Kuhns & Associates. Out of 80 firms contacted, the three were the only ones to submit proposals. The $186.9 billion California Public Employees' Retirement System, Sacramento, has ranked the firms, equally weighting the technical merits of each submission and proposed fees. Wilshire, the system's consultant since 1983, ranked first, followed by Ennis Knupp and R.V. Kuhns. The CalPERS board will interview the finalists at the April 18 investment committee meeting.
Separately, CalPERS approved a 75 million euro ($96 million) commitment to Advent International GPE V at closed session on Feb. 14, according to a summary of actions taken.
