Premiering March 15 on a PBS station near you is "Ethical Marketplace," a weekly show dedicated to reporting news, trends and success stories on social and environmental investing.
The show will be hosted by former MTV News correspondent Simran Sethi and Kevin Sanders, who has reported for Fox TV, CNN and ABC TV news.
So far, Ethical Marketplace LLC, the show's producer, has assembled an all-star cast for its editorial board. Among the more than 80 members are Robert A.G Monks, author of "The New Global Investors" and former administrator of the Pension and Welfare Benefit Administration and founder of Institutional Shareholders Services Inc. Also represented are a number of firms in the venture capital arena that focus on socially conscious investing: UNC Partners Inc., Boston; EA Capital, New York; Cleantech Venture Network LLC, Toronto; and Calvert Ventures Inc., San Mateo, Calif. Board members act as advisers for the show and provide data and research.
Guests on the show's pilot episode will include Tim Smith, chairman, Social Investment Forum; Richard Ferlauto, pension director of American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees; and Vidette Bullock Mixon, director of pensions for the United Methodist Church General Board of Pension and Health Benefits.
