Standard & Poor's Corp. agreed to acquire Vista Research Inc. for an undisclosed sum, according to Michael Privitera, an S&P spokesman. Vista Research provides institutional money managers access to independent research through its "Society of Industry Leaders."
"We feel Vista is a terrific fit for Standard & Poor's that will enable our institutional money management clients access to a broad set of professionals and thought leaders," Mr. Privitera said. "This was an opportunity that was brought to our attention, but what predated our awareness here was the recognition of the growing importance of primary research."
Stanton Green, CEO and president of Vista, will join S&P and remain head of Vista, according to Mr. Privitera.
