Tamarac (Fla.) General Employees' Retirement System named Boston Co. Asset Management, Hansberger Group, Sanderson Asset Management and Gabelli Asset Management as finalists in its search for an active international equity manager to run $2 million, said Gregory A. McNeillie, senior vice president at Dahab Associates, consultant to the $19 million plan.
The $10 million Tamarac Police Officers' Pension Fund named Boston Co. Asset Management, ICC Capital Management and Templeton Investment Counsel as finalists in its search for a manager to run $1 million in active international equities, said Mr. McNeillie.
Final presentations for all finalists are set for March 18.
The plans, which issued a single RFP in November, will replace the existing manager, State Street Global Advisors, for performance, Mr. McNeillie said. Arleen Roberts, SSgA spokeswoman, said the firm doesn't comment on client matters.
Lillian Pabon, secretary of the general employee plan's board, referred questions to third-party administrator First Benefits Services. Dan Gatzulis, administrative manager of First Benefits Services, and Barbara Chovan, chairwoman of the police pension board, referred questions to Mr. McNeillie.
