Wells Fargo Funds Management will drop the Strong name and call its mutual fund family the Wells Fargo Advantage Funds. The change will be effective when the merger of Wells Fargo funds and certain Strong funds is finalized next quarter, said spokesman Won Ha. The combined family will have 120 mutual funds. Wells Fargo's acquisition of $29 billion in assets from Strong Financial, including $24 billion in mutual fund assets, was completed Dec. 31. Wells Fargo Funds Management now has $100 billion in assets under management.
