United Technologies Corp., Hartford, Conn., voluntarily contributed $347 million to its $23 billion pension plans in the fourth quarter and $906 million for the full year, according to the company's quarterly earnings report. Also, United Technologies expects to contribute about $500 million this year to its global pension plans. "We have momentum going into 2005 and confirm expectations of earnings per share growth of 10% to 15% and cash flow after capital expenditures again in the range of net income before pension contributions," George David, chairman and CEO, said in a statement accompanying the quarterly report.
