Trustees of the Public School Teachers' Pension & Retirement Fund of Chicago today approved a search for minority-owned and women-owned private equity managers to handle a total of $10 million. The $10.3 billion fund's consultant, Mercer Investment Consulting, will select five finalists to present to board trustees in March or April; trustees plan to hire two firms, assigning $5 million to each. Funding will come from cash.
