Pennsylvania Association of Public Employees Retirement Systems was formed to provide educational services to administrators of the more than 3,000 public employee retirement systems in Pennsylvania, according to James Perry, executive director. The group was formed by Mr. Perry, former executive director of the Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System who now is a market for PIMCO, and Al Neubert of the Investment Management Network. The association will conduct a conference on April 21-22 featuring sessions on investment management. Mr. Perry said the association will offer "scholarships" to pension funds with budget problems to help their officials attend the conference. "The whole purpose of the first meeting is to get them to join the association," said Mr. Perry.
