Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds, Hartford, extended its global custody contract with State Street Corp. for six months while reviewing candidates in its search for a new custodian, according to Bernard Kavaler, spokesman for state Treasurer Denise L. Nappier, sole trustee of the $20 billion system. The system's contract with State Street was scheduled to expire Jan. 1. Finalists are? State Street, Bank of New York and Mellon Financial Corp.
