Catholic institutional investors' top concerns are abortion, environmental justice, pornography production, universal access to health care, military weapons contractors and fetal tissue/embryonic stem-cell research, according to a survey by Christian Brothers Investment Services. "The survey findings clearly show a growing Catholic institutional investor emphasis on socially responsible investing," John Wilson, the firm's director of socially responsible investing, said in a statement.
The 151 institutions that participated in the survey included dioceses, religious orders, hospitals and education facilities.
