David Hogan was named vice president of institutional fixed-income sales at Transamerica Investment Management, a new position. He was vice president, director of marketing, at Bradford & Marzec; the firm is searching for a replacement. Transamerica's assets under management total $20 billion, of which $7.9 billion is fixed income.
Gabriel Bousbib resigned as president and CEO of PlusFunds Group to pursue other interests, according to Meir Kahtan, a spokesman. His replacement will be announced soon. Mr. Bousbib will remain an adviser to the company's board until Feb. 28. PlusFunds offers investible hedge fund indexes on a managed account platform and has nearly $3 billion under management.
Steven A. Kandarian and J. Michael Orzag were named to the advisory board of Center for Retirement Research at Boston College. Mr. Kandarian, appointed executive director of the PBGC in 2001, left that position earlier this year and returned home to the Boston area. Mr. Orzag, an expert on pension issues, is the head of research for Watson Wyatt in London and a visiting professor at the Imperial College Business School, London, and a Fellow of the Institute for the Study of Labor in Bonn, Germany.
