Steve Boyle was named director of managed account operations at JPMorgan Investor Services, and Brett Rainey was named vice president of managed account operations, confirmed Alison Gilmore, a JPMorgan spokeswoman. Both positions are new. Mr. Boyle was director of operations of the managed account program at Bear Stearns, and Mr. Rainey worked at MFS Investment Management, where he developed the firm's operations department for its managed account servicing team. Information on their replacements was not available by press time.
Thomas Dattilo joined Emerald Advisers as a vice president on the sales and marketing team for the company's large-cap separate account core strategy, said Jennie Knox, spokeswoman. It is a new position. Mr. Dattilo was chairman and CIO of Garrison Institutional Asset Management, which was acquired by MDL Capital Management in June.
John J. Harrington was named a product manager at Schroder Investment Management North America, a new position in which he will be a liaison between client services and marketing for Schroder's domestic small-cap and 'smid'-cap investment strategies, said Jim Foster, head of sales and marketing. Mr. Harrington will report to Jenny Jones, executive vice president and domestic small-cap and 'smid'-cap portfolio manager. Mr. Harrington came from Wellington Management, where he held several positions, including co-portfolio manager of domestic midcap growth. Lisa Finkel, Wellington spokeswoman, said the company does not comment on personnel moves.
