City of San Jose (Calif.) Deferred Compensation Program plans to issue an RFP for a bundled provider late next year or early in 2006, according to Jay Castellano, benefits manager and trustee of the $317 million plan. Fund staff will begin work with the board to prepare the RFP in mid-2005. The plan's current bundled providers are ICMA Retirement and ING. There is no dissatisfaction with the firms and they will be allowed to rebid; "it is just time to do an RFP," he said.
