Nicholas Kahale was named head of business and relationship management for the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa at Credit Suisse Asset Management, said Suzanne Fleming, spokeswoman. He will work with institutional investors as well as family offices. Mr. Kahale was an executive director and head of business development for the Middle East and new markets at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Goldman Sachs spokeswoman Andrea Raphael did not return calls by press time with information on a replacement.
Lisa Harrington was hired as vice president, institutional business development, by Placemark Investments; Joseph Rinaldi was hired as vice president, investment operations; and John Ehinger, a former SEC attorney, was hired as chief compliance officer and general counsel, confirmed company spokesman David Jacobson. Each of the positions is new. Ms. Harrington was sales director of LifeHarbor, which was acquired by Vestmark in July. Mr. Rinaldi was portfolio manager and operations manager at Parametric Portfolio Associates; Brian Langstraat, CEO of Parametric, said Mr. Rinaldi's duties have been assumed by other staff members. Mr. Ehinger was an attorney at law firm Balch & Bingham.
