Metropolitan Board of Education Teacher Retirement Plan, Nashville, Tenn., named Dahab Associates, PFM Group, R.V. Kuhns and Segal Advisors as finalists in the $100 million plan's search for an independent investment consultant, said Dan McDougal, finance officer. Finalists will be interviewed by a special committee at a meeting Nov. 11, and a separate panel comprising school officials and Celia Kirby, metropolitan government treasurer, will likely select a consultant at that meeting.
The plan issued an RFP in August after auditor KPMG recommended the plan seek competitive bids for investment consulting services. Current consultant AXA Equitable did not rebid, Ms. Kirby said. Jeff Tolvin, Equitable spokesman, could not comment by press time.
