Georgia-Pacific Corp., Atlanta, expects to contribute $26 million to its $3.44 billion pension fund by the end of this year, according to the company's third-quarter report filed with the SEC. The company contributed $182 million during the first nine months of the year, including $75 million in the third quarter; it made $119 million in pension contributions in 2003. Georgia-Pacific officials also expect $41 million in pension expense in the fourth quarter. Pension expense totaled $139 million in the first nine months of 2004, compared with $180 million in the same time period last year.
