OAM Avatar launched a series of lifestyle funds that will use tactical asset allocation strategies to control risk, according to Dan Carlson, a spokesman. The funds, known as Premier Allocation Portfolios, are being offered on BenefitStreet's 401(k) platform. OAM will act as an overlay manager for the funds, making research-based tactical tilts to overweight and underweight asset class exposure for each portfolio. As a risk control mechanism, the funds have predetermined minimum and maximum weightings. There will be five funds, ranging from a low-risk capital preservation fund to a high-risk aggressive growth fund.
