Holly D. Deem was named chief risk officer at AMVESCAP, according to a letter from Charles W. Brady, executive chairman, to company employees last week. She will lead the firm's new operational risk management group, which will "better identify, manage and track risk within the areas of finance, products and client operations," according to the letter.
