Illinois State Board of Investment, Chicago, hired New Amsterdam to manage $250 million in active domesticlarge-cap growth equities and also increased an existing $239 million large-cap growth portfolio run by Holland Capital to about $250 million. Funding will come from a portfolio that was managed by Geewax Terker, which was dropped for performance. Calls for comment were directed to John Geewax, CIO, who couldn't be reached by press time. New Amsterdam already runs $270 million in active domestic midcap growth equities for the $10.1 billion system.
