David J. Miller was named vice president and senior portfolio manager in 40/86 Advisors' insurance group, a new position. He was senior investment officer and portfolio manager at Lincoln National. Daniel Weber, who worked in Lincoln National's employers retirement group, will replace Mr. Miller, said Rob Fleener, Lincoln spokesman. Separately David Polson was named assistant vice president and research analyst at 40/86 Advisors covering the banking and finance and insurance sectors. Mr. Polson was a fixed-income research analyst with Credit Suisse First Boston, covering the property/casualty and life insurance sectors. Information about his replacement at CSFB could not be learned by press time.
Perennial Investment Partners is searching for a head of Perennial International, its Australian-based international equity boutique, and three additional investment managers, according to a news release from the company. Perennial International now has 10 portfolio managers on its international team. "We are looking both on and offshore for candidates to join our international team," Anthony Patterson, managing director, said in a statement.
John M. Roy was named head of corporate development at Bank of New York. He replaced Richard Stanley, an executive vice president, who moved to the bank's investor services division, according to Kevin Heine, spokesman. Mr. Roy, already a managing director, was head of investor relations; he will be replaced by Joseph F. Murphy, managing director and head of the bank's energy division and regional client management teams. Mr. Murphy's duties will be assumed by other members of the teams, Mr. Heine said.
