Jacksonville (Fla.) Police & Fire Pension Fund later this month will interview finalists Franklin Templeton, Fidelity, Boston Co. Asset and Julius Baer in its search for an international equity manager to run up to $45 million, said Dick Cohee, deputy executive director. Two of the firms had been scheduled for interviews on Tuesday, but they were rescheduled because of the threat of Hurricane Ivan. The $900 million pension plan will fund the hiring from money parked in an $45 million Northern Trust EAFE index fund; the portfolio's original manager, Putnam Investments, was terminated last year following the market-timing allegations.
