Missouri Deferred Compensation Commission, Jefferson City, hired Mercer Human Resource Consulting as the first general consultant to the commission's 457 and two 401(a) plans, which have a combined $1 billion in assets, said Allen Scott, employee benefits manager.
Mercer will assist with an RFP to be issued this winter for a third-party administrator and investment provider for the plans; proposals for bundled and unbundled services will be accepted. PEBSCO, the current bundled provider for all three plans, can rebid. The commission has not determined a deadline for selection.
The plans, which mirror each other, each offer 33 investment options.
