Bruce O. Kallos resigned yesterday as executive director of the $1.1 billion Arlington (Va.) County Employees' Retirement System. He had been on administrative leave since last month after an audit uncovered questionable travel and entertainment expenses. "We have reached a satisfactory settlement on outstanding issues," Steven Ivins, president of the system, said in a brief statement. Steve Watts, assistant director/pension officer, is handling investment matters.
Mr. Kallos didn't return two phone calls seeking comment.
