Charles K. Bobrinskoy was appointed vice chairman and a member of the board of directors of Ariel Capital Management, Chicago. He will oversee investment management and trading operations, assuming the duties from John W. Rogers Jr., the company's founder, chairman and CEO; Mr. Rogers will retain those titles. Mr. Bobrinskoy was managing director and head of North American investment banking branch offices at Citigroup.
