Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, Columbus, is searching for two senior investment analysts, one for domestic equities and one for private equity, confirmed Richard Baker, spokesman for the $58.7 billion system. Both are new positions.
The domestic equities analyst will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating fundamental developments and financial data for a variety of assigned industries, sectors and individual companies; the analyst's recommendations will be the basis for investments in the internal active research portfolio. Candidates need to have an MS or MBA, preferably in finance, economics, mathematics or accounting, with a minimum of five years' related experience.
The private equity analyst will be responsible for sourcing deal flow, analyzing and recommending private equity investments, coordinating activities with a consultant, monitoring partnership activities, participating on advisory committees and assisting with the development of long-term and tactical strategies. Candidates for this position must have an MBA or equivalent degree, with a CPA or CFA designation desired. In addition, a minimum of four years' private equity experience is required.
