Longview Investment Management, a new institutional money management firm founded by Glen Kleczka, will specialize in "high-alpha asset classes," according to a news release from the firm. Mr. Kleczka, managing partner and CEO, previously founded William Blair & Co.'s value practice and was a portfolio manager of the William Blair Value Discovery Fund; prior to that he was a founding partner of Brinson Partners, now known as UBS Global Asset Management (Americas).
The Longview Small Value Portfolio returned 12.12% for its first six months, ended June 30, and the firm is initiating a "capital-raising campaign" for that strategy, said Mr. Kleczka. He declined to comment on the total assets under management.
