Cambridgeshire County Council Pension Fund, Cambridge, England, hired Schroder Investment Management to run £85 million ($158 million) in a real estate fund of funds, according to the firm. The scheme increased its real estate allocation to 10% from 6%, said Julian Samways, Schroder spokesman. The manager already handles £340 million in a multiasset mandate for the scheme, of which £25 million has been transferred to the new property fund. John Hopwood, group accountant for Cambridgeshire, could not be reached by press time to provide further details.
The plan has £1.5 billion in total assets, according to International Pension Funds and their Advisors 2003.
