Sidney A. Ribeau, president of the Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio, was been elected to the TIAA board of trustees, and Ahmed H. Zewail, Linus Pauling chair professor of chemistry and professor of physics at the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, was elected to the CREF board of trustees. Mr. Ribeau, who will serve on TIAA's human resources committee, replaced the late Ruth Hamilton. Mr. Zewail, who will serve on CREF's finance, corporate governance and social responsibility committees, replaced Robert W. Vishney. Members of both boards now will be elected annually as part of New York-based TIAA-CREF's new governance practices.
