Denver Regional Transportation District will terminate Columbia Management, which runs $21 million in active domestic fixed income, and move the money to an internally managed passive bond fund, said Joseph Smith, senior manager of finance. The board of the $76 million pension plan decided that Columbia's performance was not worth the active management fees, Mr. Smith said. Marquette Associates assisted. Charles Salmans, Columbia spokesman, declined to comment.
