Cynthia Steer was named chief research strategist at CRA RogersCasey, Darien, Conn., a new position created after Timothy R. Barron was named president and chief executive officer. Ms. Steer was managing director and head of fixed income. Mr. Barron, who was director of research, will continue to oversee the research group. No decision has been made on whether a search will be conducted to fill Ms. Steer's former position.
Also, Alan Dorsey, managing director and head of hedge fund research, will add management responsibility for private equity and real estate as the director of non-traditional research, a new position. Soonyong Park, managing director and head of U.S. equity research, will become director of traditional manager research, adding oversight for international equity and fixed income. It is a new position. And Joe O'Reilly, managing director in the Boston office, was named chairman of a newly formed consulting steering committee, which will be composed of all managing directors in consulting.
Mr. Barron's promotion followed the departure of Kevin Greene, chairman of both CRA RogersCasey and parent Capital Resource Advisors Inc. Officials say it is uncertain whether a new chairman will be named.
