Baton Rouge (La.) and Parish of East Baton Rouge Retirement System interviewed three finalists - ING Clarion, Principal Real Estate and RREEF - in its search for a real estate manager to run $42 million in a commingled fund, said Jeffrey Yates, retirement administrator. The $839 million pension plan added a new 5% real estate allocation earlier this year, following an asset-liability study; funding will come from reducing fixed income, Mr. Yates said. Trustees will choose two firms on Thursday for site visits, he said, and might make a selection at the July 29 board meeting. Summit Strategies is assisting.
