Miami Firefighters' and Police Officers' Retirement Trust kept Morgan Stanley Investment Management and John Hancock Financial on its watchlist, said Bob Nagle, administrator. Morgan Stanley, which runs $67 million in active domestic core bonds for the $1.1 billion plan, has been on watch for performance since last May, Mr. Nagle said. John Hancock has been on watch since February 2003 for the performance of a $2 million active domestic small-cap growth equity portfolio, he said. Trustees will continue to review the firms quarterly. Milliman USA is assisting.
Andrea Slattery, spokeswoman for Morgan Stanley, declined to comment. Brian Carmichael, John Hancock spokesman, did not respond to a request for comment by press time.
