Janus Capital Group Inc., Denver, reported its assets under management dropped to $140.3 billion as of April 30, a 3.2% decline from March 31, according to a news release from the company. Assets in Janus' core growth equity strategies dropped 4.2%, to $77.4 billion, and assets in quantitative strategies rose $1 billion, or 6.5%. Net institutional outflows were $700 million in April and $2.6 billion in March. Janus officials said net institutional outflows should total $2.8 billion this month and $700 million in June.
