Delaware State Deferred Compensation Program, Dover, will add the Morgan Stanley Institutional Equity Growth and Fidelity Capital Appreciation and Value funds, as well as five Fidelity Freedom funds, as investment options, said Susan McNamara, financial programs manager. The $205 million 457 plan will drop the Babson Growth, Fidelity Blue Chip Growth, Franklin Mutual Shares and Janus Worldwide funds, although they will remain available through the plan's mutual fund window, Ms. McNamara said. All changes are effective June 1. The Babson and Janus funds will be dropped for performance, she said; the other changes will diversify the plan's core lineup of 27 funds, she said. Bundled provider Fidelity assisted.
"We will continue to work hard to deliver for our shareholders, and we are certainly encouraged by the recent improving performance of the fund," said Shelley Peterson, Janus spokeswoman. Jeff Smith, David L. Babson spokesman, declined to comment.
