Brookline (Mass.) Retirement System tonight will interview Brandywine, Julius Baer and Boston Co., finalists in a search for an international equity manager to run $9 million, said Margaret Cossette, deputy director of finance. The $170 million plan might select a firm at tonight's meeting, she added. Funding will come from a similar portfolio that had been run by Putnam Investments, which was terminated in November because of "a board decision," Ms. Cossette said; she would not elaborate. The money has been parked in a Fidelity commingled international equity portfolio, which now has about $20 million, pending the selection of a new manager. Meketa Investment Group is assisting.
