St. Louis County Retirement Plans, Clayton, Mo., will interview finalists on April 29 in its search for a manager to run $40 million in active domestic large-cap value equities, said Kirk McCarley, personnel director. The portfolio's previous manager, Chartwell Investment, was on the $380 million plan's watchlist for more than six months because of performance, Mr. McCarley said. Chartwell was eligible to rebid but did not submit a proposal, he said. Trustees might select a replacement at their April 29 meeting. Mr. McCarley declined to name the finalists. Summit Strategies is assisting. Maria Pollack, partner at Chartwell, did not return a call seeking comment.
