Kutak Rock LLP, Omaha, Neb., dropped the Putnam Investors and Janus Adviser International Growth and Midcap Growth funds as investment options in its $83 million 401(k)/profit-sharing plan, said Sue Poland, administrative coordinator. Trustees made the change because of performance and style drift, Ms. Poland said. The funds were not replaced.
"We're disappointed about their decision but hope to have the opportunity to manage investments for them again in the future," said Laura McNamara, Putnam spokeswoman. Shelley Peterson, spokeswoman for Janus Capital, did not return a call seeking comment by press time.
The plan now offers 15 mutual funds and a self-directed brokerage window. First National Bank of Omaha, the trustee and record keeper, assisted.
