Scotts Co., Marysville, Ohio, hired Batterymarch to run an active domestic midcap value equity portfolio for its defined benefit plan, said Joyce Bishop, manager-retirement plans. Batterymarch replaced Morgan Stanley, which ran a similar portfolio, Ms. Bishop said. Morgan Stanley was terminated for style drift, said George Murphy, vice president-compensation and benefits. The portfolio sizes were not available. Hewitt assisted. The plan has $54 million in assets, according to the Money Market Directory.
