The SEC announced a variety of panelists for its March 10 roundtable on proxy access for shareholder nominations to boards of directors. Panelists include: Ted White, director-corporate governance at the $167 billion California Public Employees' Retirement System, Sacramento; Richard H. Moore, North Carolina state treasurer and sole trustee of the state's $56.3 billion pension fund; Denise L. Nappier, Connecticut state treasurer and sole trustee of the state's $18.6 billion retirement fund; and Damon Silvers, associate general counsel, AFL-CIO.
Also on the panel: Ann Yerger, deputy director, Council of Institutional Investors; Peter C. Clapman, senior vice president and chief counsel-corporate governance, TIAA-CREF; James E. Heard, vice chairman, Institutional Shareholder Services; Ralph V. Whitworth, president, Relational Investors; and Eric Roiter, senior vice president and general counsel, Fidelity Management & Research.
