Gainesville (Fla.) Consolidated Police Officers and Firefighters Pension Plan hired Walter Scott to run $15 million in a commingled international equity account, said Brian Sergeant, pension management analyst. Walter Scott replaces Putnam, which was terminated in October following market-timing allegations against the firm. The money had been temporarily put in an EAFE index fund run by State Street Global Advisors, Mr. Sergeant said.
The Boston Co., Brandywine and Julius Baer were the other finalists in the search. Summit Strategies assisted the $145 million plan.
