Robert Pozen was named non-executive chairman at MFS Investment Management, replacing Jeffrey L. Shames, who will retire. Mr. Pozen is a visiting professor at Harvard Law School and in recent years was secretary of economic affairs for Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, associate general counsel at the SEC and a member of the President's Commission to Strengthen Social Security; he was vice chairman of Fidelity Investments when he left the firm in January 2002.
