Gonzaga University, Spokane, Wash., is conducting an asset allocation study, the first in three years for the $89 million endowment, said Rick Jones, controller. It will be finished in four months and changes are expected, Mr. Jones said, although he did not elaborate. The fund's current asset allocation is 43% equity, 20% hedge funds, 17% fixed income, and 10% each in venture capital and real estate.
Separately, the endowment hired Harris Associates and Ivy Asset to run $9 million each in hedge funds of funds, and IronBridge and Rothschild to run $3.5 million each in active domestic small-cap growth equities, Mr. Jones said. Funding came from rebalancing.
